Police Use of Force

Beginning in September 2021, the Police Use of Force project group has aimed to educate students in New York City about the legal standards for the use of force, the rights and responsibilities of residents, and the current news about policing. Since the project began, the group has presented a Know Your Rights lesson to over 700 students across 4 boroughs. They have also put together current events newsletters and a podcast to delve further into issues of policing and other topics important to high school students today.
